RESA equips a new airport in Nigeria…
After the implementation, in 2009, of some of its systems at the international airport of Lagos, the biggest city of the country, RESA has installed its CREWS CUTE system and Local Departure Control System at the international airport of Abuja, capital city of Nigeria.
Thanks to these new systems, airlines and handling agents operating on the airport platform can now share check-in desks and boarding gates.
In partnership with Maevis Limited, RESA carries on its development in Nigeria. The company has already planned to provide additional systems to the Abuja airport with the installation of its Airport Operational Database (INFOPAX), its Flight Information Display System (VISTA) and its invoicing system (INVOICE).

RESA is installing its new CREWS LDCS CUSS module at Punta Cana airport…
RESA just developed its new CREWS LDCS CUSS module, currently installed at Punta Cana airport in Dominican Republic. This application enables passengers to check in and print their boarding passes from RESA self-service kiosks installed at the airport.
By using this new system, passengers traveling from Punta Cana airport will be able to directly drop their bags at a baggage drop-off counter (or proceed to the gate if they do not have any luggage).
CREWS LDCS CUSS improves service to passengers and optimizes management of the travelers flow thus reducing waiting time at check-in desks.

RESA sponsors the 7th French Aviation Forum…
RESA is pleased to sponsor the 7th French Aviation Forum which will take place in the world renowned city of Lourdes from 23rd to 25th June 2010. French Connect brings together French airports, European low cost and regional airlines to do business and discuss issues relevant to the French market. The 2010 forum is offering even more to delegates: an extended conference programme, interactive workshops led by specialists, one-to-one meetings.
The event will be hosted by SNC-Lavalin Airports and Tarbes-Lourdes Pyrénées Airport, RESA’s client since 2005. After having purchased RESA CREWS system (CUTE), Tarbes-Lourdes Pyrénées Airport chose to extend its range of RESA products and lately equipped itself with INFOPAX (AODB), VISTA (FIDS) and INVOICE (invoicing).

RESA equips the new terminal at Oran’s Es Senia airport…
In partnership with Egis Avia, RESA equips the new terminal at Oran’s Es Senia airport for passengers check-in and boarding (CREWS and CREWS LDCS), flights management (INFOPAX) and flight information display (VISTA). Specially designed to receive the 3,000 visitors expected to attend the 16th International Conference and Exhibition on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG16) to be held in Oran from 18 to 21 April 2010, this new 5,000 sq.m terminal will increase the airport capacity from 2.4 to about 3 million passengers per year.

RESA alongside Hermes Airports for the opening of the new Larnaca airport in Cyprus…
After the opening of the new Pafos airport in November 2008, Cyprus opened on November 17th 2009 a state of the art brand new airport in Larnaca. The 100,000 m² new terminal is three times bigger than the existing one and will serve 7.5 million passengers per year.
Hermes Airports consortium, including Bouygues Bâtiment International and Egis Projects as main shareholders, entrusted RESA for the provision of IT systems covering all the airport’s needs. The GAIMS software suite will assist the airport in its growth and help Cyprus to become an important hub.

RESA CREWS CUTE platform is IATA CUPPS certified…
RESA, first European CUTE platform provider, is CUPPS certified on the first official launch date set by IATA on October 15, 2009.
CREWS is the world first CUPPS system certified by a Compliant Testing Entity (Lufthansa systems), installed in an international hub (Brussels Airport), fully approved and operationally used by two airlines (Lufthansa and Iberia). Some other tests have already been conducted with Continental and American Airlines. The RESA team thanks its clients and partners for their trust and support enabling this major innovation.

RESA certifies new BCBP IER printers…
Since RESA installed in December 2006 the first 100% bar-code airport in the world (EuroAirport BSL), it has been actively supporting IATA’s “Simplifying the Business” program. RESA’s policy is to regularly certify new peripherals. According to this policy, RESA has just certified new IER 2D bar-code printers. The IER 400 and IER 560, designed for check-in operations, are multi-function machines that can print high quality 1D and 2D bar codes (including IATA compliant PDF 417, Datamatrix, Aztec and QR codes).
The IER 400 is a single feed, thermal printer printing 1D and 2D bar codes on both boarding passes and bag tags.
The IER 560 is a 4 input, direct thermal, flexible printer that can print boarding passes and bag tags simultaneously.

RESA is pleased to sponsor the 19th congress of ALFA-ACI (French organization of French-speaking airports) which will take place at the “Centre de Congrès du Triangle” in Huningue from 30th September to 3rd October 2009.
Organized in partnership with the Basel Mulhouse Airport, trusting RESA systems since 2006, the meeting welcomes every year more than 300 French-speaking airports’ decision-makers (airport managers and directors, members, partners), all specialized in their domain. French overseas departments and territories airports equipped with RESA’s Baggage Reconciliation System…
RESA carries on establishing its Baggage Reconciliation and Tracking System on the French overseas departments and territories’ market with the equipment of Nouméa, Pointe-à-Pitre and Fort-de-France airports. Thanks to this user-friendly system, airlines are now able to carry out a continuous baggage tracking from check-in to loading. As an essential tool for airport security that allows to unload baggage in record time, BAGERA also improves service to passengers and lowers the number of lost baggage. After Brest in Metropolitan France, Nouméa, Pointe-à-Pitre and Fort-de-France are the first French airports equipped with their own BRS.

RESA sponsors the 100/24 challenge: 100 airfields in 24 hours…
100/24: 10 pilots, 24 hours, 1 aircraft. On June 25-26th 2009, 10 aviators are going to take shifts on board of a Cirrus SR22 – single engine 4 seater aircraft – and land on 100 different airfields located all around continental France.
Beyond the technical and human achievement, the aim of this challenge is to reveal to the public the incredibly dense airports web of the French territory, and its geographical extension. More than 400 airfields are spread out throughout France offering a very powerful tool for opening up otherwise isolated regions. As the French leader in airport IT systems, RESA is pleased to associate its name to this challenge and wishes a great success to the 100/24 crew.

GLOBAL SYSTEMS chooses RESA to equip 10 Cuban airports…
In partnership with Global Systems, RESA has installed its CUTE CREWS and local DCS systems in 10 Cuban airports, especially 2 major sites: Havana and Varadero and 8 peripheral sites. RESA has implemented a centralized configuration organized around the Havana international airport. HVA airport centralizes all the airlines communication lines, the anti-virus control and manages remote administration of all the peripheral sites. All the servers were installed, configured and tested in RESA’s lab before deployment on site, enabling us to successfully equip all the airports in less than 3 months.

RESA is involved in the CUPPS definition…
As an IATA strategic partner, RESA is actively participating in the CUPPS working group. In partnership with airlines and other IATA members, RESA contributes to the development of the new standard with a view to harmonizing the interface among airline applications and shared platforms.
RESA is already working on a complete revision of the current CUTE platform which will ensure compatibility of the airline applications already integrated in CREWS.

RESA equips the new Pafos airport in Cyprus…
The new Pafos airport, in Cyprus, welcomed its first passengers on November 17th 2008 with a brand new terminal able to handle 2.7 million passengers per year (compared with 1.5 million before). Hermes Airport, the airport handler, entrusted RESA for the provision of IT systems covering all the airport’s needs, from passenger and baggage processing, flight management, resources allocation through to billing and flight information display systems. RESA software suite, called GAIMS, will assist the airport in its growth, provide high security level and ensure the highest quality of service delivered to its passengers.
